In this directory we have tried to cross a complete cross section of professional photographers. They should be friendly, natural and be able to show you references from previously satisfied clients - if they cannot provide references please let us know.
Below we have indicated what they may or may not be prepared to discuss.
With the increasing popularity of Civic ceremonies and a move away from endless numbers of posed photographs, more couples now prefer a mixture of formal and informal photographs, therefore perhaps half of the photographs are taken with a camera similar to a Hassleblad , providing those essential shots of the family groups which always become treasured mementoes in years to come, the rest are taken with a camera similar to a Nikon 35mm to record those more relaxed pictures of a Bride and Groom enjoying the confetti thrust down various items of clothing.
Professional photographs should always try to give the couple time to enjoy the day and meet their guests after the ceremony rather than pose for endless photographs from the moment they first step out into the sunshine, but they also ensure that they sit down for their meal on time, as it would simply be bad manners to keep all those people waiting.
